It’s winter here in the U.S. and as a Massachusetts resident I know I usually have a strong desire to hide from everything and avoid all work. That comes out sporadically throughout the year, but it’s always toughest to overcome in the winter and has grown more troublesome over the years.
One of my former roommates used to light candles as Jon mentioned. It worked wonders for her. I completely forgot about that as a coping mechanism until he mentioned that in his post (the above link).
I also do the whole hat&sweats thing sometimes. It is occasionally necessary in order to get me out of the house. Sometimes I will desperately want to shower, but then be unable to motivate myself to do it. Thankfully:
1.) I don’t do that often
and
2.) I usually shower at night and so can then simply roll out of bed in the morning. Then it’s my fight with my alarm clock that keeps me from getting moving….lol
