Searching for that Happy Medium

I'm a college senior trying to make my way in the world. I have bipolar but don't let that stop me from doing what I want to do! I don't think of it as a chronic illness, but rather as a genetic sensitivity to the world that occasionally leads to ill times. I strive to change perceptions regarding mental 'illness' and spread the hope that my family, friends and I have found. In the mean time, I'm just looking for balance in my life.

One of my best friends was in the hospital last night because of attempted suicide. He thinks no one cares about him. I’m going to see him on Friday. Please reblog this so I can show him that even complete strangers care. And for anyone that reblogs this, I’ll follow you if I don’t already.

I have a number of friends and family members that have had passive suicidal thoughts, and two cousins that have attempted suicide. I know it’s really hard to deal with. Your friend will be okay eventually, but I wish both you and him the best in the mean time! I hope he feels all the love you send his way soon.
